Chronic pain is long-standing pain that persists beyond the usual recovery period or occurs along with a chronic health condition, such as arthritis. Chronic pain may be "on" and "off" or continuous. It may also affect people to the point that they can't work, eat properly, take part in physical activity, or enjoy life.

Our mind and body are always connected. They can influence each other in many ways. The stress and pain create a cycle, perpetuating one another. There are many ways in which stress worsens pain, including causing tense muscles and increasing inflammation. Moreover, trauma and unresolved emotional issues cause stress, therefore contribute to the pain and stress cycle.

This immersive exhibition explores the many aspects of chronic pain through interactive art installations. Chronic pain is a complex and often misunderstood condition that affects millions of people around the world, yet it is often misunderstood and stigmatized. This exhibition seeks to change that by giving voice to those who experience chronic pain and shedding light on their struggles.

Through a variety of mediums, including sculpture, photography, video, and sound, the exhibition invites you to engage with chronic pain in new and unexpected ways. Each artwork offers a unique perspective on the experience of chronic pain, creating a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of this complex and often misunderstood condition.

We hope that this exhibition will inspire a greater understanding and empathy for those living with chronic pain, and encourage a broader conversation about how we can better support those who suffer from invisible wounds. We invite you to immerse yourself in these powerful artworks and reflect on the many faces of chronic pain.
